Badminton Champion PV Sindhu had announced on Monday via Instagram that she had travelled to the UK to work on her nutrition and recovery and added that she had been there for 10 days. She is likely to spend another 60 or so days there. Following her post, social media has been active with assumptions about her reason to leave the National Camp for Olympic hopefuls.
Some claim that she had left due to problems at home since none of her parents accompanied her to the UK, which has happened for the first time. Before her fast departure from Hyderabad, she had reportedly informed the Pullela Gopichand academy that she won’t be returning for 8-10 weeks. Responding to the gossips and half-truths, Sindhu’s father PV Ramana told PTI that there was no tension in the family. He added that Sindhu left, as she was not getting enough practice at the national camp.
On the other hand, the 25-year-old champion’s Instagram post on Tuesday revealed that she had no issues with training back in India. “I do not have any issues with my coach Mr Gopichand or the training facilities at the academy,” she mentioned in her post. The post also says that she had gone to the UK with her parents’ concern and there was no problem with them.
