Film maker Aashiq Abu is back with Naradan featuring Tovino Thomas and Anna Ben. The movie, which tries to portray a behind-the-scene look at the media world, will see Tovino don the role of journalist who is battling personal demons.
The shot is expected to begin in January, 2021 and the makers are hoping for an April release the same year. The film is scripted by Unni R, who has previously penned the scripts of hit movies such as Munnariyippu and Charles. This is Aashiq's first collaboration with Unni for a film. Aashiq, who is best known for his films such as 22 Female Kottayam, Mayaanadhi and Virus, is also working on Vaariyamkunnan, a period film, which revolves around the life of Variyan Kunnathu Kunjahammed Haji, starring Prithviraj.
Tovino, who had incurred injuries while shooting a physically strenuous scene for his upcoming movie Kala, has a couple of projects in his kitty including Minnal Murali, and Kaane Kaane. Anna, whose last movie release was Kappela, was recently seen starring in pop-folk band When Chai Met Toast's song Kahaani.
