Poornima Indrajith will be making her Bollywood debut with Cobalt Blue. The movie, based on novelist, playwright and film-maker Sachin Kundalkar's book by the same name, is directed by Sachin himself.
The movie will follow the lives of brother and sister Tanay and Anuja, who both fall in love with the same man, an artist lodging in their family home in Pune. Pratik Babbar plays the lead in the film, which also stars Anjali Sivaraman and Geethanjali Kulkarni. Open Air Films will be producing the movie in English and in Hindi for Netflix.
Poornima started her a career as a model before shifting to television and movies. Poornima, who runs fashion label, Pranaah, which specialises in bridal couture is married to actor Indrajith. Although she took a hiatus from cinema for close to 18 years, she was active on the small screen, anchoring and performing. She returned to the big screen with Aashiq Abu’s Virus, a film based on the 2018 Nipah outbreak in Kozhikode. The actor be next seen in Rajeev Ravi's upcoming movie Thuramkukham starring Nivin Pauly.
