Pakistani blogger Aamna Imran is making headlines these days due to her uncanny resemblance with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Aamna, a medical professional who hails from Pakistan and works in the US, has broken the Internet with her photos and videos, her followers increasing from 2,000 at the start of the weekend to more than 24,600 followers on Instagram. Aamna seems to enjoy recreating Aishwarya’s looks from her movies.
On several of her Instagram posts, users have left comments like Aishwarya’s “xerox” and “carbon copy.” A few even wrote how Aamna appears to have sought the help from plastic surgeries to achieve the look. "Plastic surgery karke poori tarah se koshish ki gayi hai Aishwarya Rai jaise dikhne keliye (With plastic surgery, she has tried really hard to look like Aishwarya Rai)," wrote one.
Aamna commented on the post, writing, "THANK YOU! Humbled. Thankful to all of you for the love, positivity and kindness! Blessed and no surgeries (negativity belongs behind me). Much love to all!"
Before Aamna Imran, TikTok star Ammuzz Amrutha, Marathi actress Manasi Naik, Iranian model Mahlagha Jaberi and Bollywood actress Sneha Ullal had the Internet in a tizzy with their uncanny resemblance to the actress. Soorya J Menon a contestant of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 3 entered the spotlight when her recent photoshoots caught her seeming resemblance to Aishwarya.
This is not the first time that Aishwarya Rai’s doppelganger has been spotted on the Internet. In June last year, a viral clip showed a fangirl, Amrutha who looked quite similar to the actress, lip-syncing a dialogue from the iconic Tamil movie Kandukondain Kandukondain. Aishwarya was last seen in the 2018 musical film Fanney Khan, co-starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen alongside her husband Abhishek Bachchan in Anurag Kashyap’s cop-drama Gulab Jamun.
