Former actor Sana Khan posted a picture of herself along with her groom, Anas Sayed, with whom she tied the knot on November 20. The actor, who shot to instant fame when she participated in reality show Bigg Boss season 6 in 2012, looked dazzling in a red lehenga choli with gold jewellery set.
Sana who began her career in modelling and went on to appear in advertisement and feature films, made waves for her proximity and candidness with the Big Boss host, actor Salman Khan. In fact, she even went on to star in Salman’s film Jai Ho in 2014. Sana, whose father is a Malayali, was raised in Mumbai. She made her debut in Bollywood with Yehi Hai High Society in 2005 and has starred in films such as Halla Bol, Jai Ho and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. She has also appeared in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films.
The actor was in relationship with choreographer Melvin Louis. They went their separate way in February 2020.
Sana, who was last seen in Neera Pandey’s Special Ops, announced her decision to leave the industry and spend her life in the service of “humanity” and following the orders of her “creator” across her social media platforms. Sana went on to delete all her glamorous and revealing photos and videos from her Instagram feed, which at one point in time had garnered her massive popularity. Only religious posts can be seen on her feed now.
Sana’s statement comes just over a year after Dangal actor Zaira Wasim quit acting for similar reasons. Zaira claimed that fame and “success” was driving her away from Islam.
Sana, who got married to Surat-based Anas Sayed, has changed her name. She has shared her new name on Instagram as Saiyed Sana Khan. The low-key nuptials were held in Surat, Gujarat, and Sana recently shared stunning photos on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of her bridal avatar.
Sana had earlier shared a picture with her husband on Instagram and captioned it, “Loved each other for the sake of Allah Married each other for the sake of Allah May Allah keep us united in this Duniya And reunite us in jannah ♥ Fabi ayyi ala-e rabbekumaa tokazzebaan Which of the favours of your lord will u deny ♥ #sanakhan #anassayed #nikah #married #20thnov #alhumdulillah”. A viral video from Sana’s wedding showcased her decked in a white ensemble.
