Most of us tend to rely on Google Maps to lead us to a less familiar destination. A groom almost married the wrong woman after Google Maps led him to the wrong venue on his wedding day.

According to reports, two ceremonies (a wedding and an engagement) were taking place in a village on the same day and same time and the groom entered the wrong venue because of Google Maps. The groom and his relatives, who relied on Google Maps to reach the venue, were warmly welcomed by the bride’s side. They were offered refreshments both the sides even started exchanging gifts with each other until the bride’s family noticed something was amiss. The Bride’s family quickly realised the mistake and informed the other family, and sent the family back after avoiding a very embarrassing situation.

The wedding was supposed to take place in Losari Hamlet of Pakis District in central Java, Indonedia. However, the groom’s family searched for Jengkol Hamlet, which was not far from the original venue, but was booked by another couple Maria Ulfa and her future husband Burhan Sidqi from Ringinum Village, Kendal Regency, Central Java.

The 27-year-old bride Ulfa who was busy getting ready for the wedding when the incident happened said that her actual fiancé and his entourage were late to the party as they had to stop to look for a restroom. Ulfa said that she was quite shocked after seeing the wrong groom and his relatives as she knew none of them.
