Mollywoood actress Rajisha Vijayan who impressed Kollywood with her performance in the recent Dhanush starrer Karnan, is set to work in her third film in the Tamil movie industry. The actress announced on her social media handle that she would be sharing screen space with Karthi in the upcoming movie Sardar directed by PS Mithran.
The film was launched last year, and now, the makers are out with the first look and title of the project. The film stars Chunky Pandey and Simran will start today. Raashii Khanna is one of the female leads in the film. Produced by Prince Pictures, the film has music by GV Prakash, marking his first collaboration with Mithran, who had previously worked with Yuvan Shankar Raja for his first two films. It is rumoured that Karthi is playing a dual role in the film.
Meanwhile Rajisha’s latest film Kho Kho was pulled out of theatre last Tuesday amid the second wave of Covid-19. The makers of Manju Warrier’s Chathur Mukham have also withdrawn the film from the theatres. Manju who plays the lead in the film said that the decision was made after factoring in ‘the current situation and for everybody’s health’. “We will definitely be back in theatres for you when it is safer, hopefully very soon,” she added. Manju also added that the film would be released once the pandemic was in control and when public places would go back to being safe. “Follow the health instructions given by the state government and stay safe,” she added before signing off.
