With the election campaigning picking up pace in Kerala, Congress and UDF are bringing in the big wigs. Wayanad MP and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be coming to Kerala on a two-day election tour on March 22. He will be taking part in public meetings in various assembly constituencies in Ernakulam, Kottayam and Alappuzha.

Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Kochi at 11 am on March 22 and he is reportedly scheduled to interact with the students of St. Teresa’s College. He will then attend election meetings in Vyppin, Kochi and Tripunithura constituencies. Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Alappuzha in the evening and will attend public meetings in Aroor, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha, Haripad — the state’s Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala will be contesting from — and Kayamkulam constituencies.

KPCC general secretary KP Anilkumar said that he will tour Kottayam on March 23 and will participate in election rallies in Kottayam, Puthupalli, Kanjirappaly, Pala, Piravom, Kunnathunadu, Muvattupuzha, Perumbavoor and Angamaly constituencies. Rahul’s presence should help with bringing in more attention to the UDF’s campaigning, as well as reportedly help with the party’s internal problems in some locations.
