Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tests positive for Coronavirus

Just after former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tested Covid positive, now, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tested positive. The Congress leader tweeted saying that he had mild symptoms.

He tweeted, "After experiencing mild symptoms, I've just tested positive for COVID. All those who've been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe."

Earlier, on Sunday, Rahul Gandhi had cancelled all his election rallies in West Bengal citing the Covid-19 surge.

On Monday, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was admitted to hospital with a high fever and later tested positive for Covid-19. The former PM has received two doses of Covaxin. Reportedly, Singh was admitted as "a matter of precaution."

Today morning, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that Singh was stable. He tweeted, "Followed up on Dr Manmohan Singh Ji's health with the medical team attending to him at AIIMS, Delhi. His condition is stable. Best possible care is being provided to him. We all pray for his quick recovery."
