Security outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence has been increasing after an abandoned car containing explosives was found parked outside on Thursday evening.

Ambani’s residence, Antilia, is located on Carmichael Road in Mumbai. The area comes under the Gamdevi Police Station. Reportedly, the police alerted a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) regarding the abandoned car. The BDDS and police teams examined the green Scorpio near Ambani’s house and reportedly recovered over 20 gelatin sticks. Gelatin is a substance often used for making explosives.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the Mumbai Police Crime Branch is investigating the matter. Security was increased at Antilia after the bomb scare. According to reports, the police said they had found Gelatine was found inside the car and added that it is not an assembled explosive device. An investigation into the matter is underway.

Considering the area is likely to have security cameras, police would be looking at CCTV footage to see who parked the car near Ambani’s residence.
