A look into the new guidelines announced by MHA for December

As per reports, India recorded only 12.8 lakh new cases in November. This has been India’s lowest tally in the last four months. The country has also seen a dip in the number of deaths (15,494 deaths) in November compared to September (23,472). Although the number of cases is reducing in the country, it is increasing in certain states like Maharashtra, Kerala and Delhi. The central government is concerned about them and are constantly in touch with these state governments to find measures to curb the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, the latest guidelines, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs for December, will be in effect from today and will be enforced till December 31, 2020. The health ministry has added fines to be imposed on those who are found in public spaces without masks. They have reiterated that the public must adhere to the guidelines and follow social distancing norms.
