On Tuesday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule of class 10 and 12 board exams. The exams will be held offline from May 4.
According to the schedule, class 10 board exams will begin on May 4 from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and conclude on June 10. Class 12 exams will start on May 4 and end on June 12. Some class 12 board exams will take place in two shifts. The morning exams will be from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and, afternoon shift will be from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
In a tweet, the CBSE said that sufficient time is given between examinations of two main subjects in both classes 10 and 12. The board added that this would reduce the stress on the students and help them in better preparations for the examinations.
The board exams are delayed this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Generally, board practical exams are conducted in January, written exams in February and conclude in March. Last year, when the Covid-19 began spreading across India, the board exams were postponed and later cancelled. Students were passed based on an alternative assessment results. With the pandemic still surging in a few states, parents and students are worried about the examinations being held and are concerned about safety.
