Three out of five election states could go to the current ruling parties show trends
LDF for Kerala, TMC for West Bengal, DMK for TN and BJP for Puducherry, Assam?

After hours of counting, based on the leads currently in, Mamata Banerjee has managed to defend her government and appears to be heading towards a third term with her party’s Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.

As per the latest trends, TMC has taken a massive lead and the ruling party is way ahead of the BJP in Bengal. TMC is currently leading in 205 seats, while the BJP is leading in 85 seats at 2 PM.

In Tamil Nadu, votes seem to be favouring DMK, whilst in Kerala, the Pinarayi Vijayan-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala looks like it is set to script a history by retaining power in the state.

In Assam, the BJP seems to be set to have a second term with the party’s alliance already leading in 59 of the 120 seats. The saffron party had scripted history by winning the traditionally Congress-dominated state in 2016, after remaining on the fringes.

Puducherry seems to have voted for a new government led by the BJP as the NDA is ahead of the SDA by leading on 9 seats.
