A class 11 student was arrested in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh as he, along with three others, supposedly kidnapped his classmate. According to reports, the victim was beaten up and a video was shot after he was stripped. The accused, is said to have threatened the victim, who was confined for three hours, with death if the police was informed of the incident. While one of the accused has been arrested, the other three are currently absconding. A girl is said to be the reason behind the kidnapping.
Meanwhile, a 10-year-old boy was allegedly murdered by a 15-year-old over the latter’s friendship with the deceased’s sister in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The teenager is said to have killed the victim with a stick on March 5 and then disposed of the body into the Narmada river. The body was discovered floating on March 14.
According to the police the victim was extorting money from the teen. The accused said that the victim saw him speak to the latter’s sister on February 28 and that it led to an argument. Although the accused paid Rs 100 to ensure the victim did not inform their parents about the friendship, the accused killed him when the victim began demanding money often, said Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) SS Baghel. After a complaint was filed, police zeroed in on the teen who confessed on questioning.
