Former Indian Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar tested positive for Coronavirus today. The legendary batsman revealed through Twitter that he has mild symptoms.

In a statement released on Twitter, Tendulkar said, "I have tested positive following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative. I have quarantined myself at home and am following all the necessary protocols as adviced by my doctors."

Through a tweet, the Board of Council for Cricket in India (BCCI) wished Tendulkar a swift recovery. Famous cricketers Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan and Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra and many others wished Tendulkar for a speedy recovery through Twitter.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, India recorded 62,258 new Covid-19 cases marking the biggest single-day spike since October 16. And nearly 291 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours pushing the total death number to 1,61,240.

After the United States and Brazil, India is the third worst-hit country in the world by Coronavirus. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, nearly 1.12 crore people in the country have recovered from the disease.
