Within two months of debuting his blue hair, BTS singer Jungkook has lit up the social media after he was sported donning a new purple hairstyle this week.

In an Instagram Live with BTS, Jungkook revealed that he now has a sleek new hairstyle, shorter than before and dyed in purple. He launched his new look with his co-stars and Louis Vuitton’s menswear artistic director Virgil Abloh.

On April 23, Louis Vuitton announced BTS as their latest house ambassadors. Calling them 'Pop Icons', Louis Vuitton praised the boy band for the positive influence and impact they have upon a global audience. They added that they are pleased to welcome the members' RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook into the Louis Vuitton family and shared a photo of the members sporting stylish clothing as a welcome photo.

During the launch, BTS' ARMY (as the fans are called) noticed that Jungkook was sporting purple hair and J-Hope, blonde hair. Photographs and videos of Jungkook's purple hair are going viral as fans discuss the singer’s new look.

While one Twitter user wrote, ““I’ll just be here waiting for a selfie of Jungkook with purple hair”, another wondered, “Did Jungkook cut his hair and dyed it purple or is my brain not used to wake up before 10am anymore so it’s imagining things?”

According to Twitter trends, the BTS band member’s hairstyle has been mentioned in over 700,000 tweets so far – a figure that keeps rising by the minute!

The word “Purple” which according to BTS member V aka Kim Taehyung means I will trust and love you for a long time, is also trending on Twitter.

Jungkook recently won the title of 'Sexiest International Man Alive' by People's magazine in 2020.

Meanwhile, BTS' new single, FILM OUT, has already become the new Internet sensation and people are loving it. The song which was released on April 2, is breaking records and setting trends.
