Twenty booked for molesting minor girl in Thrissur

A minor girl was allegedly repeatedly molested by a group of men in Thrissur. Twenty people have been charged on the basis of the complaint and investigations are on said the police.

According to reports, the girl was in love with a young man. She was first assaulted by him and later by his friends. Police say she was assaulted 14 times.

This case comes close to the heels of the news of a 14-year-girl in Malappuram being drugged and raped repeatedly in her own house, yesterday.

The POSCO case has seven accused and the police has strengthened the search for the rest.

The main accused is a man the young girl befriended on Instagram. The man is said to have her gotten hooked to drugs such as ganja and hashish oil. He reportedly started sexually abusing her once he got her hooked on drugs and began blackmailing her. His friends also abused her.

What is shocking is that the class nine student was raped in her own house at night. She would open the door for them secretly. They drugged her and sexually abuse her in her house repeatedly for months. The girl’s father is working abroad and her mother, an invalid. The girl is currently in the custody of the Child Welfare Committee (CMC) and been shifted to a shelter home. According to officials of the CMC, the girl is showing withdrawal symptoms.

Meanwhile, the police have found the two missing POSCO case girls at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. The girls, aged 16 and 15, went missing this morning from the shelter house they are staying at in Thiruvalla.
