TM Thomas Isaac presence at NDA convenor’s dinner party during Kerala polls leads to controversy

Throughout the Kerala Assembly election, the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) have accused each other of being in cahoots with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

However, according to reports, a photo has now gone viral showing Finance Minister TM Thomas Isaac, LDF candidate KN Unnikrishnan and CPM’s area committee members attending a dinner party at an NDA convenor’s house. According to reports, the photo was taken at NDA Vypeen constituency convenor Ranjith Rajvi’s house during the election campaigning. Ranjith’s wife Krishna Kumari is state president of SNDP Yogam women’s wing.

After the photo went viral, the UDF has alleged that vote trading took place between the LDF and the NDA. Even before the election campaigning began, UDF and LDF have accused each other of having an alliance with the BJP.

One of the latest accusations came just a day after the results of the Kerala Assembly election were declared. During a press conference, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan alleged that vote trading took place between the UDF and the BJP in three constituencies. However, Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala responded to Vijayan with allegations that there was a deal between the CPM and the BJP in 69 seats.

Meanwhile, the BJP claimed that the LDF and UDF were having an alliance. After Vijayan’s recent accusation, BJP state president K Surendran made several allegations, claiming that the CPM was the biggest voter trader and also alleged that the CPM and UDF committed vote sharing in Manjeswaram and Palakkad.
