KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran speaking to a media organisation said that the bomb mentioned by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan would burst within the CPM and that has sent jitters to the Chief Minister. “Pinarayi has panicked. He fears the explosion; that’s why he gave everyone a heads-up. The Kerala CM is a coward who fears his own shadow. A huge blast will occur within their party. EP Jayarajan was his right hand for the last five years, but he showed him injustice,” says Mullappally.

Pinarayi on March 30, said that people of the state are ready to face any “bomb”, referring to the supposed campaign of lies by the opposition, which might be “dropped” in the eleventh hour of the election campaign.

A rumour doing the rounds in social media groups is that IT firms belonging to the families of Left leaders may be raided. While addressing the media, Mullappally claimed that a raid on Pinarayi’s daughter’s, T Veena’s company, Exalogical Solutions, which is said to have had links with US-based firm Sprinklr, was highly possible.

Mullapally also urged the Enforcement Directorate to interrogate Pinarayi. The Customs Department hurled a virtual bomb ahead of the assembly election when they informed the Kerala High Court that chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Speaker Sreeramakrishnan and three cabinet ministers were directly involved in smuggling out dollars with the help of the UAE consul general. Mullappally went on to say that the CM had unfairly sidelined Industries and Sports Minister EP Jayarajan. Jayarajan was denied a seat this time due to the “two-term” norm followed by the party.
