Leader of the Opposition in Kerala Assembly, Ramesh Chennithala and MK Muneer MLA tested positive on Wednesday

Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and MK Muneer MLA have tested Covid positive on Wednesday. Chennithala who is asymptomatic will be shifted to the hospital for observation. He had gone into isolation after his wife, Anita, and his son tested positive on Tuesday.

Muneer, a Muslim League Leader also tested positive on Wednesday. The deputy leader of the opposition party, took to social media and urged all those who have come in close contact with him to be vigilant.

I have been tested positive for COVID-19 and have isolated myself at home as per advice by doctors as a precaution.

Request everyone who has come in contact with me recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine.

Several top political leaders such as Finance Minister Thomas Isaac, Higher Education Minister KT Jaleel and Power Minister MM Mani have tested Covid 19 but have since recovered.

Meanwhile Kerala on Wednesday reported 6,169 fresh cases of Covid-19.
