Kerala minister AK Balan has criticized NSS general secretary Sukumaran Nair over his statement after casting the vote. The Minister said that the NSS general secretary has committed political betrayal.

On Tuesday, the NSS general secretary has said that the State requires a government change after the Assembly polls. He even urged people to cast their votes for those who uphold secularism and social justice. He even said that NSS wants a government that can give peace to the people.

Minister for Electricity MM Mani lashed out at NSS General secretary Sukumaran Nair. He said that Sukumaran Nair has something different in his mind. He said that the NSS general secretary is a Congressman, but the whole community doesn't need to obey it.

He said, "I wish Ramesh Chennithala to continue as Leader of the Opposition." The Minister even scoffed and said that it would only benefit the LDF. He even expressed confidence that the LDF would remain in power with a large majority.

Meanwhile, the Nair Service Society has responded to Sukumaran Nair's controversial statement on the election day. The NSS explains that the controversy is created by the distortion of the General Secretary's words. They said, "The controversy over Lord Ayyappan was not started by the NSS. NSS's stand over faith concerns has not changed yet."
