The survivor worked as a bar dancer in Dubai and met Binoy in 2009. According to the survivor, Binoy had sexually abused her several times on the pretext of marrying her. She also claimed that Binoy was the father of her nine-year-old child. Though Binoy admitted knowing the survivor, he denied all allegations. He even filed a blackmail complaint against her.

A session court had granted Binoy bail on the condition that he provides DNA samples for a paternity test. Initially, Binoy hesitated in going for the paternity test. Earlier this July, Binoy gave his blood samples to the police and the report was submitted to the Mumbai court in a sealed envelope. However, the results of the DNA test is yet to be submitted.
