The High Court will reconsider the bail petition submitted by Bineesh Kodiyeri in connection with the money laundering case. Bineesh Kodiyeri has informed the High Court that his father Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's health is serious and he needs to be present at home with the family. Bineesh is the fourth accused in a money laundering case being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Even a medical certificate regarding Kodiyeri's health condition was also submitted before the court. The court was considering the bail plea of Bineeesh on Wednesday. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju was not present at the court, but his representative informed the court that the objection regarding this matter will be filed soon. The case will be heard today again.

On February 22, Bineesh's bail application was rejected by the ED special court and he then approached the High Court.

Last year, Bineesh Kodiyeri was arrested by the Bengaluru division of the Enforcement Directorate under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and has been lodged in a Bengaluru jail since October 29, 2020. On two earlier occasions, his bail applications were denied by a lower court there and he then moved the High Court in Bengaluru.
