Nobel Kumar, a Youth Congress worker has painted his house in Ernakulam's Vypin with the faces of senior Congress leaders and the promises the party had made in its manifesto. The entire wall painting was done in eight days' time.
While speaking to a media organization, Kumar said that it took around eight days for him to complete the entire wall painting and he was helped by his friend Radhakrishnan to complete it on time ahead of the Kerala Assembly elections. He said he spent around Rs 9000 on the painting and will not be erased even after the election.
The Congress worker said, "I even painted similar lines during the just concluded local body polls and now, he has replaced it with the fresh paintings." He even stressed that he wishes to retain the painting until the next election.
Portraits of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Kerala Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, senior Congress leader Oommen Chandy, MP Hibi Eden and even UDF's candidate from the Vypin constituency for the upcoming Assembly election, Deepak Joy can be seen painted on Kumar's house. Deepak and Kumar were friends from college days and he strongly believes that Deepak will win from Vypin for this upcoming Assembly elections.
Among all the promises made by the UDF in its manifesto, Kumar's painting gave more importance to Rahul Gandhi's promise of the implementation of the 'Nyay' scheme in the state.
He even added, "It was the Congress party that made me who I am. That is why the reason I have painted the walls of my house with the promises made by the party." On April 6, the election for 140-member Kerala Assembly will be held and counting of votes will be held on May 2.
