Kongad MLA KV Vijayadas breathed his last at the Thrissur Medical College in Thrissur on Monday night.
Vijayadas (61) was undergoing treatment for post-Covid complications. On December 11, 2020, he was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for Covid-19. Though the recovered from Covid-19, he faced post-Covid complications and continued treatment in the hospital. Last week, he underwent surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain. His condition worsened further as there was bleeding on the right side of the brain.
Vijayadas was born on May 25, 1959. He began his career as a Kerala Socialist Youth Federation (KSYF) activists in 1957. He was a CPM Palakkad district committee member and has served as CPM Chittoor Area Committee Secretary. Vijayadas won Assembly seat from Palakkad’s Kongad constituency in 2011 and 2016.
