Kerala woman reportedly attacked for marrying outside her religion

According to reports, a woman was attacked by her sister and brother-in-law for marrying a man of her own choice. The incident took place at Kalanjoor in Pathanamthitta.

Reportedly, the woman reached her house to see her mother when the incident took place. The woman's brother-in-law and sister who were present at the house were attacked by saying that she will not get her property.

The woman who belonged to Muslim religion had married a man from the Hindu religion on April 8. According to the woman, she was attacked when she came to see her mother at her home. The woman who was badly injured in the incident has been admitted to the hospital.

This is not a new thing in the country. A few days back, Mangaluru police had arrested four people, reportedly who were right-wing activists, who stabbed a 23-year-old Muslim man for travelling with a Hindu woman in a bus in coastal Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada.
