26-year-old man confesses to electrocuting middle-aged wife in Thiruvananthapuram outskirts

The Kerala Police have solved the case of a middle-aged woman who was found dead at her home at Karakonam in Thiruvananthapuram. According to reports, her husband, Arun (26), confessed to the police that he had electrocuted his two-month-old bride, Shakha (51), at their home in Thresyapuram, Karakonam.

According to reports, soon after Shakha was rushed to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, where she was declared dead on arrival, Arun told doctors that his wife was electrocuted at their house. Feeling suspicious, the doctors called the police. During questioning, Arun told police the same thing that he told the doctors. The police felt suspicious and took Arun into custody for further questioning. It was during this that Arun confessed to killing her, police said.

A forensic team found bloodstains on Shakha's body and nose. Police have said that autopsy reports will give further details into the Shakha's death.

Meanwhile, according to the neighbours, the couple has been arguing over various matters for two months. Reportedly, the dispute was due to their wedding photo was leaked. Neighbours have also said that Shakha brought Arun a car and reportedly gave him 10 lakhs. A few days ago, the duo went to the Panchayath office to register their marriage. According to some neighbours, Shakha wanted children, however, Arun wasn't keen on it. Neighbours do not have any idea as to what led to Shakha's murder.
