Kerala Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan diagnosed with pneumonia; shifted to ICU

Kerala Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan, who was affected with Covid-19, is now suffering from Pneumonia. The Speaker was shifted to the ICU of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. According to doctors, his condition is "satisfactory."

The Speaker is being treated by a special medical board since he had heart-related issues.

Earlier, Kerala Assembly Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan tested positive for the Coronavirus. Through a Facebook post, he said that he tested positive and was under observation at his official residence in Thiruvananthapuram.

He even requested everyone who had recently come in contact with him in recent days to self-quarantine. On Friday, the Customs department had recorded the statement of the Speaker in connection with the Dollar Smuggling Case.

Most recently, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and senior Congress leader Oommen Chandy also tested positive for Covid-19.
