Kerala reports 2,710 new Covid-19 cases on Monday as only 25,141 samples tested

The state has reported 2,710 new Covid-19 cases, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.

In the last 24 hours, the state has tested only 25,141 cases. Out of the 2,710 cases, 2,347 contacted the virus via contact and 55 cases came from outside the state. The CM said that the source for 269 cases is still unknown.

On Monday, 6,265 people have recovered from the infection taking the state’s recovery toll to 4,54,774. However, the state has witnessed 19 deaths due to Covid-19, taking the state’s death toll to 1,888. Presently, Kerala’s test positivity rate is at 10.78%.
