Kerala man stabbed to death allegedly for opposing wife's extramarital affair

A man was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife and lover for opposing their love affair at Aryanad in Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased has been identified as Anadu native Arun. Arun's wife Anju and her lover Sreeju, who is also Arun's friend, have been taken into custody following the incident.

The statements given by both the accused were confusing and clarity would be obtained only after further investigation, claims police officials. However, according to police, Anju and Arun were in love during their college days. After years of relationship, both decided to get married neglecting their different castes. Following their marriage, Anju's parents severed all their ties with her. Thus, Anju and Arun started living together.

Anju became close with Arun's friend Sreeju four years ago and this became a reason for both to part mentally away from each other. Later, Anju shifted to their relative's house in Kulappada where she met Sreeju secretly. The duo decided to live together after killing Arun in any manner.

On Tuesday evening. Sreeju came to meet Anju and Arun also came there at the same time. A verbal dispute broke out between them which result in Arun's murder. He was stabbed to death.

Sreeju's wife had left him when she came to know about his relationship with Anju. The couple, Anju and Arun have a nine-year-old daughter.
