Students of St.Teresa's College in Ernakulam have come forward against the derogatory comments made by LDF's Joyce George against Rahul Gandhi.

The students said that being a former MP and advocate, he has to change his mindset. They further said that his remark was not in line with the political leaders of this time.

The students said that Joyce's remark was an insult to them as students and that it was not right to view the college programme as political since Rahul Gandhi attended the event.

Meanwhile, Mahila Congress organised a protest march to the Secretariat over LDF's Joyce's derogatory remarks against Rahul Gandhi today. The protest was lead by Veena S Nair, UDF's Vattiyoorkavu candidate in the upcoming Kerala Assembly polls.

Former Idukki MP Joyce George made the comments against Rahul Gandhi's most recent interaction with the students of St.Teresa's College for women in Ernakulam as a part of his Assembly election campaign in Kerala.

On Monday, while campaigning for State Power Minister MM Mani at Erattayar in Idukki, Joyce George said, "Rahul Gandhi's programme is such that he will only visit women colleges. He will go there and teach girls to bend. My dear children, please don't bend and stand in front of him...he is not married."
