Former CPM local committee secretary, CK Omanakuttan, a resident of Vattakkavu, was found hanging in his house at Konni in Pathanmthitta today. After the primary investigation, police concludes that it was a case of suicide. However, the family, suspecting foul play has raised allegations against the CPM local leadership.
Omanakuttan was an employee of the Konni RCB Gas Agency. For about a year, he was not active in the party, claims his wife, Radha. She claims that after the defeat of a CPM candidate in the ward during the just concluded local body polls, there was a threat against Omanakuttan from the party.
Earlier, even an attack had happened on him, she alleges.
