On the polling day, a complaint has been raised allegedly by UDF's Balussery constituency candidate Dharmajan Bolgatty that a group of DYFI workers tried to attack him when he reached the polling booth. While interacting with a media organization, he said that the DYFI workers stopped him from entering the polling booth and even tried to attack him.

He alleged that the incident happened at Sivapuram booth numbers 187 and 188. He said, "The DYFI workers stopped me from entering the booth. They even tried to assault me."

The UDF candidate further added that he had the pass to enter the booth and he has the right as a candidate, but a few people blocked my way. He said that he haven't lodged any complaint yet on the incident.

Meanwhile, when the Pinarayi government is anticipating retaining the power, former Kerala Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan could not cast his vote in the Assembly elections. VS Achuthanandan and his wife Vasumathi did not come to the booth in the Ambalappuzha constituency due to age-related health issues.
