CPI expels Kerala Minister P Thilothaman's PA for attempt to defeat LDF candidate in Assembly polls

The Communist Party of India (CPI) expelled Food and Civil Supplies Minister P Thilothaman's private secretary just days after the completion of Kerala Assembly polls.

According to reports, P Pradyuth, who is also the former secretary of the party's local committee, was expelled for his refusal to take part in the election campaign.

Reportedly, the party gets to know that Pradyuth was engaged in campaigns aiming for the defeat of LDF candidate in Cherthala P Prasad. Following a complaint on this matter, the CPI decided to expel him.

On Thursday, following the convening of the Karuva local committee, the decision to expel Pradyuth from the party was taken. The meeting was also attended by minister P Thilothaman.
