Complaint lodged as body goes missing from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College mortuary

A complaint has been filed as a dead body goes missing from the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College mortuary. The relatives of Neyyattinkara native Prasad filed a complaint with the medical college police as the body goes missing from the medical college mortuary.

On Friday, 47-year-old Prasad was taken to the Neyyattinkara general hospital after he experienced health issues. When his health worsened, he was shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital. However, Prasad's life could not be saved.

Later, he tested Covid-19 and his body was shifted to the medical college mortuary. On Sunday, when the relatives reached after completing formalities to get the body, the hospital authorities showed the body of a 68-year-old man, whose name was also Prasad.

In the register, the name of Prasad was noted, but the body could not be found. Following this incident, the relatives lodged a complaint with the medical college police.
