Malayalam superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal have jointly inaugurated the new building of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) today. The Rs 10 crore building is located at Deshabhimani Road, Kochi. The building is equipped with all modern facilities including a 150-seat-mini-theatre and exclusive cabins for script discussions.

According to reports, the five-storied building has an exclusive floor with glass chambers for actors to hear scripts and for writers and directors. On another floor, it has a beautiful cafeteria. In 2019, the AMMA decided to shift its main office to Kochi.

During the inauguration ceremony, the association has announced a massive Malayalam film project, which will see Mammootty, Mohanlal, and several other stars together. Mohanlal, the AMMA president said that the movie will be a crime-thriller. It will be directed by Priyadarshan and Rajeev Kumar. The movie will also see around 140 other actors working on it. He said that the movie aims at helping the Malayalam film industry, its artists and other technicians who were affected badly by the outbreak of the pandemic.

The movie’s script will be written by director Rajeev Kumar and produced by Aashirvaad Cinemas. Along with other actors such as Siddique, Ganesh Kumar, Baburaj, Jagadish and others. Mohanlal and Mammootty unveiled the poster of the movie.
