On Sunday, Kerala reported 4,581 new Covid-19 cases, according to the state's health department. In the last 24 hours, 46,126 samples have been tested.
Out of the 4,581 new cases, 3,920 were infected through contact and 85 are from outside the state. The source of infection for 527 cases is still unknown.
Kerala has also witnessed 21 deaths on Sunday, taking the state's death toll to 1,869. The state has reported 6,684 recoveries taking the recovery toll to 4,48,207. With 574 cases, Kozhikode reported the most number of cases on Sunday followed by Malappuram at 558 cases.
