Although the year 2020 is far from over, quite a few people have deemed it one of the worst years in recent history - right from the continued Brexit shenanigans to Australia on fire to the coronavirus pandemic which shut the world down. As laughter is often the best medicine, memes are aplenty about the year, most of them connected with the Coronavirus which reared its head at the fag end of 2019.

And while jokes about the ‘year that wasn’t’ are aplenty, especially those in connection with the coronavirus induced lockdown, it looks like 2021 will see people continue using laughter as they cope with the news of a new mutation of Covid-19, which supposedly comes with a 70% higher spread rate.
