State records 6,638 new Covid cases; 7,828 recover today
53,981 samples were tested in the last 24 hours
The state has reported 6,638 new Covid-19 cases on Friday. With this the total number of cases have risen to 90,565 active coronavirus cases.
State Health Minister KK Shailaja informed that 5,789 patients got the disease through contact, the source of the virus of the remaining 700 cases are unknown. 85 new patients have returned to the state from other states. 53,981 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Kerala recorded 7,828 recoveries today. The recovery toll is 3,32,994. The state also confirmed 28 deaths. This has taken the death toll to 1,457.
