The state has reported 4,139 cases of which 3,599 cases were through contact. The number of cases with unknown sources amount to 439, while 47 health workers have been reportedly infected. Meanwhile, 21 people lost their lives to Covid taking the death toll to 1,533 in the state.
However, the low number of infections can be attributed to the decreased testing. In the last 24 hours, the officials have tested 33,345 samples but the Test Positivity Rate stands at 12.41%. The Chief Minister said that even though the number of cases have increased, they have been able to bring down the mortality rate.
