According to an official statement from health minister K K Shailaja’s office, the state has reported 6,862 Coronavirus cases on Tuesday. Out of the new cases, 5,899 contracted the virus via contact. The source of infection of the remaining 783 cases is unknown.
The state has confirmed 26 deaths today taking the death toll to 1,559. Kerala has recorded 8,802 recoveries on Tuesday. A total of 61,138 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
So far, there are 84,713 active coronavirus cases in Kerala while the state has recorded 3,64,745 recoveries.
