According to a press statement by Health Minister KK Shailaja, Kerala recorded 6,010 Covid-19 cases which has taken the state’s total number of active Covid cases to 78,694 on Tuesday. The state has tested 54,751 samples in the last 24 hours.
Out of the 6,010 cases recorded, 5,188 cases were through local contact, 100 cases where from outside state and source of 653 cases is unknown.
According to NIV Alappuzha, the state has confirmed 28 deaths, taking the death toll to 1,742. Meanwhile, the state has also reported 6,698 recoveries taking the recovery toll to 4,15,158. The state’s test positive rate is currently at 10.98%.
