On Monday, Kerala reported 3,757 new Covid-19 cases. In a press statement by Health Minister KK Shailaja, the state has collected 35,659 in the last 24 hours. Currently, Kerala has 64,166 active Covid-19 cases.
Out of 3,757 cases, 3,272 persons were infected through contact, 76 infected persons came from outside the state. However, the source of infection for 377 cases is still unknown.
Kerala also reported 5,425 recoveries, taking the recovery toll to 5,00,089. However, the National Institute of Virology in Alappuzha confirmed that there were 22 casualties, taking the state’s death toll to 2,071. The test positivity rate of Kerala is 10.54%.
