Kerala reported 5,375 new Covid-19 cases and 6,151 recoveries on Tuesday
In a press release by Health Minister KK Shailaja, the state has collected 58,809 samples in the last 24 hours and the test positivity rate is at 9.14%
On Tuesday, Kerala reported 5,375 new Covid-19 cases. In a press statement by Health Minister KK Shailaja, the state has collected 58,809 samples in the last 24 hours. Currently, Kerala has 61,092 active Covid-19 cases.
Out of 5,375 cases, 4,596 persons were infected through contact, 114 infected persons came from outside the state. However, the source of infection for 617 cases is still unknown.
Kerala also reported 6,151 recoveries, taking the recovery toll to 5,44,864. However, the National Institute of Virology in Alappuzha confirmed that there were 26 casualties, taking the state’s death toll to 2,270. The test positivity rate of Kerala is 9.14%.
