With more recoveries than positive cases, Kerala seems to be in a better situation than it has been for a while. Today, the state recorded 5,804 cases while marking 6,201 recoveries, taking the total active cases to 77,390. For the active cases, 4,988 are from contact while sources are unknown for 643 cases.
With the state testing 58,221 cases in the last 24 hours, the Test Positivity Rate stands at 9.97% and it is showing signs of improvement. Kerala marked 26 deaths, and it has seen 55 health workers becoming Covid positive. Kozhikode takes the lead among the states with 799 cases, followed by Ernakulam with 756 and Thrissur with 677. Everyone else recorded less than 600.
