Kerala records 4,777 cases and 5,217 recoveries

Kerala records 4,777 cases from 51,893 tests conducted in the past 24 hours. The total cases now stands at 636,392 while active cases are at 60,924. The Test Positivity Rate is 9.21% as both the number of tests and daily case count has decrease from yesterday. The state also records 5,217 recoveries.

Malappuram leads the count with 664 cases, while Kozhikode follows up with 561. Everyone else managed to stay below the 500-mark, while Kasargod recorded the lowest case at 75. Around 4,120 people contracted the virus from local contacts, while sources are unknown for 534 people. The government has also recorded 28 deaths taking the total to 2,418.
