India will take on Australia in the third and final T20I match at Sydney on Tuesday. The Men in Blue have already sealed the series with 2-0 lead and will be aiming to whitewash Australia just like they did in 2016.

Having sealed the T20 series, India are going into this game with the same side. Jasprit Bumrah and Mayank Agarwal have already started preparations for Test series at the Drummoyne Oval, where India A drew the first practice match against Australia A. Pacer Mohammed Shami has been rested from the last T20I. It is worth noting that despite this T20I match being a dead rubber, it is an important match for India as they have an opportunity to extend their T20I winning streak to 11 matches.

On the other hand, Australia will be looking for a win as it could give them much needed momentum going into the Test series. In the second T20I, Australia’s stand-in skipper Matthew Wade showed how good a player he is and put India under a lot of pressure but it is Australia’s bowling that let released this pressure. In the death overs, Australia’s bowler have been quite expensive. Australia leaked out 54 runs in the last 30 balls, helping India seal the series. Aaron Finch has returned to captain the side and Marcus Stoinis has been left out.

The game will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. According to reports, it is very cold in Sydney as New South Wales has been hit by a cold wave. Sydney is a high scoring venue and both teams will be giving everything as it going to be playing their last white-ball cricket game for this year.
